比喻式文学批评的发源可以上溯到先秦时代 ;由于战国游说、汉代品评、魏晋清议的不断促进 ,比喻式文学批评在唐代达到鼎盛 ;这种特殊形式文学批评的产生和发展 ,还与人类早期思维的类比性特征、儒家文化传统和类比式思维本身的魅力等因素 ,有很密切的关系 ;认识作为文学批评的比喻和作为文学语言修辞手法的比喻这两者之间的种种区别 ,对于我们科学总结比喻式文学批评的传统 ,将其发扬光大 ,促进当代文学批评学科的发展 。

The metaphorical literary criticism originated during the pre Qin days, and bloomed during the late part of the Tang Dynasty after the canvass of the Warring States, the appraisal of Han Dynasty, the pure talk of the Wei jin Dynasty. Its development also related to the analogical charateristic of primitive thinking, the cultural tradition of the Confucian school and the charm of metaphor itself.To understand scientifically the metaphorical literary criticism and promote literary criticism of our time, we must recognize the difference between the metaphor that acts as literary criticism and the metaphor that acts as rhetoric of literary creation.
