In the article, the birth of Hongyan Spirit,which has played an important role in chongqing's cultural history in the past hundred years is a mile stone of chongqing's cultural evolution in the 20th century. In the new century, Hongyan Spirit is still desirable for the development of Chongqing and its further cultural evolution.
