The Historical Fate of Confucianism and Localization of Marxism in China

作为中国古代传统文化主干的儒学形态有着悠久的历史和丰富的境遇变化。在现代中国 ,对于儒学 ,既不能一厢情愿地讲“复兴”,更不能全盘否定 ,而应该在马克思主义指导下进行批判继承 ,古为今用。这既是社会主义现代化建设的根本需要 。

This paper,through historical review and rational reflections of the formation and changes in circumstance of Confucianism-the mainstay of traditional Chinese culture,holds:we cannot talk about the “revival” of confucianism as one sided wish,neither can we totally deny it. We should critically inherit,making the past serve the present,under the guidance of Marxism. This is not only the fundamental need of socialist Construction of modernization but also the inherent demand of the development of localization of Marxism in China.
