Waiting in Pain, Struggling in Waiting: Analysis of Becketts Waiting for Godot

本文从荒诞派戏剧的理论、表现手法和Beckett的创作目的出发 ,探讨了《等待戈多》中所表现出的人生意义 ,指出人生意义即是一种不平常的等待。在这种等待中有痛苦 ,有希望 ,更有抗争。

Based on the theory of Absurd Theatre,its techniques of expression and the intention of Becketts writing,this paper discusses the meaning of life exposed in the play Waiting for Godot .It points out that the meaning of life means an unusual kind of waiting,in which there is pain and hope and even struggles. [
