地位获得代表着近20年来社会分层与社会流动研究的主流,在西方它经历了古典模型与扩大模型两个阶段。近年来我国也有人开始研究中国人的地位获得过程。地位获得研究的实质就是探讨影响个人社会经济成就的有关因素。尤其是要分析从出身背景到获得成就所经历的生命周期中所涉及的几个重要变量之间的因果关系。

The achievement of position represents the main trend of the study of social l ayer and floating for nearly ２０y ears，in Western，it involved two stage of c lassical and enlarged model．In rece nt years，man start to study the proce ss o f achieve－ment of chinese position in our count ry．The substance of the study of the a chievement of position is a probe int o the factors concerned of affact ing social econo mic achievement of individual perso n，especially must analyse the causa lity between several important variable involved by life period from c lass origin background to achieving the success．
