摘要
本文用知识经济和信息文明两个术语概括了学习化社会的经济和文化特征，提出与知识经济和信息文明相应的包括一切继续教育形式的终身教育与终身学习是学习化社会教育与学习的特征。终身教育与终身学习不仅是学习化社会经济和文明发展的动力，同时也是教育目的最好的实现形式。远程教育作为变革传统教育的重要因素，是实现学习化社会目标的重要支撑。
Two features in learning society are economy based o n knowledge and civilization based on correspondingly information.The educa tional and learning pattern are life-long education and learning, which not onl y are impetus of economy and civilization but also the best realization pattern of educational aim. As an important factor of revolution,distance education is ju st an important support to learning society.
