启蒙的真谛并不在于简单的发展或者进步 ,而在于精神变化的方向性。它表现为克服习惯思维的勇气 ,宽容不同思维方式之间的冲突。在这个意义上 ,哲学史的构成要素不是认识论 。

The very essence of enlightenment lies in the orientation of spiritual change rather than a simple development or progress. It embodies the courage of freeing itself from the traditional thinking and of accepting the conflicts of different ways of thinking. In this sense, the constituent elements of philosophical history are the transition between different spirits and the changes in different orientations rather than epistemology.
