An Urgent Task in Library Management——Clearing up, Restoring and Regenerating of Ancient Books

通过对古籍整理、修复保护现状的分析,指出现存传世古籍因人才匮乏、经费不足、科研薄弱、科研设备短缺等困难,正濒临损毁的危险。认为古籍保护的出路,一方面在于加强对古籍的整理出版,加紧对古籍的修复;另一方面在于利用现代化手段,将古籍的原始信息原状原貌地转移到其他载体中存储。

According to the analysis on restoring and regenerating of ancient books, this paper points out that the precious ancient books are facing a danger of being damaged. Meanwhile, the lack of professional staffs and shortage of scientific research fund have severely constrained the ancient books protection. Some suggestions have been proposed to handle these problems. Investigation results show that the publication and restoration of ancient books need to be enforced. In addition, with the help of modern technologies, principal ancient books can be preserved in forms of electronic media.
