The principle, advantages and disadvantages of slit rolling technology are briefed. Two processes of slit-rolling, rotary slitting and roller slitting, their respective pass systems and guide-fittings designing, are introduced. The advantages of slit rolling technology in bar production are demonstrated with examples.
