Radon is the only naturally occurring radioactive gas. It causes great damage to the human body and has become a major subject of public concern. A brief discussion is made on radon as to source, detection methods, environmental standards indoor and outdoor radon levels, damage and removal etc.. A literature of 32 references is cited.
