丹麦区是英格兰王国里在法律和习俗上既不同于英格兰，又不同于丹麦本土的盎格鲁与斯堪的那维亚因素相互交融的具有明显特征的地区，其地理范围大致位于英格兰的东部和北部，界限并不固定。

Danelaw was the part of England in which neither Danish nor English law and custom prevailed, where the factors between Anglo Saxon and Scandinavian mixed distinctly. The exact borders of the Danelaw are uncertain. Its geographical scope lie in the northern and eastern of Anglo Saxon England.
