The paper introduces the name, genesis, physical and chemical performances, mineral resources, history, culture and legend of turquoise from the views of geology, archeology, history and jade culture and carries out the evaluation of the quality and technological characteristics of turquoise as well as comment on the appreciation and collection of traditional famous jade turquoise.
