Castration complex is an importment conception in psychoanalysis . Freud had made significant revision of its original definition in the later stage of his study. After having further analyged and revised it, Norman O. Brown defined it as man's fear to return to biological facts,with the core lying in the fear of death. The some development of the conception reveals to us its cultural meaning in three aspects.
