简论李劼人历史小说的艺术特色

Aspects of the Artistic Characteristics of Li Jie-ren's historical novels

李劼人《死水微澜》、《暴风雨前》、《大波》是史诗性的作品。这三部连续性的历史长篇小说，其结构受左拉《卢贡—马卡尔家族》的影响，创作方法却是民族式的──情节完整、故事性强、人物鲜明。对这样融古今中西为一体的、具有文学和历史双重价值的优秀之作应该予以足够重视。

Li Jie-ren's A Small Wave of Back Water, Before the Storm and Great Billows, are epical trilogy. The structure of his series river novels was obviously under the influence of the Rougon-Macquart, Les by emile Zola. On the other hand, the means of his artistic expression were full of nationality, with integrated stories, tightknit plots, and colorful distinctive characters. We should think highly of Li's masterpieces, which combined combined Chinese and Western quintessence, and being of dual value to us in our research of modern literature and history.
