英语隐含条件句及其翻译

Implied English Conditional Sentences and Their Chinese Translation

通常,条件是结果产生的依据,二者相互依存。但在话语表达中有时却只有结果而隐去了条件。条件隐含在言语片段中,需要经过逻辑分析才能找出来。本文把这种条件称为隐含条件,并把含有这类隐含条件的句子称为隐含条件句。本文将主要参照许凤娇著《英语隐含条件句剖析》和张培基等人著《英汉翻译教程》对英语隐含条件句做较为详细的分类和翻译技巧介绍。

Condition and result are interdependent; however, the condition of a discourse is sometimes not explicit but implied, or even not expressed in a context. Such kind of condition is to be called implied condition and sentences with the said condition are to be called Implied Conditional Sentences in this paper. This article is mainly to make a classification of the said sentences and to introduce some of their translation skills as per An Analysis of the English Conditional Sentences authored by Xu Fengjiao and A Course in EnglishChinese Translation written by Zhang Peiji and other three authors.
