党的十六大明确把“三个代表”重要思想确定为我们党必须长期坚持的指导思想,表明我们党在理论指导上进一步走向成熟。“依法治国,建设社会主义法制国家”是党领导人民治理国家的基本方略。努力使“三个代表”重要思想的基本要求制度化、法律化,是贯彻“依法治国”基本方略的重要内容。实施“依法治国”方略与全面贯彻“三个代表”重要思想具有内在的一致性。

The Sixteenth Congress of CCP define 'Three Representations' as the directive idea which our party must chronically insist on. It is basic policy to manage state affairs according to the law and to construct socialistic legal state. Making the basic requests of Three Representations be legislated and standard is important content of carrying out managing state affairs according to the law. Managing state affairs according to the law and Three Representations have internal coherence.
