A Reflection on the Social Value for the Reasonable Development of Modern Civilization and Ecology

20世纪以来,工业社会的大生产造成生态环境的严重破坏和自然资源的迅速枯竭,出现全球化生态危机。对此,人类需要一种真正的生存智慧,深刻反省人与自然的关系,并对世界的合理秩序,对人在世界中的地位,对人的行为合理性有正确的认识和定位,重新架构以"生态合理性"为核心理念、价值取向和建构原理的新的世界观和方法论,实现从以人类自我为中心向人类社会与自然界相互作用为中心的转变,建立全新的生态化生产关系和体制,以保证人类的世代延续和"自然-经济-社会"复合系统的可持续发展。

The large-scale production of industrial society since the 20th century has caused serious destruction to the ecological environment and rapid exhaustion of natural resources, thus resulting in the global ecological crisis. In consequence, real wisdom is called upon for the existence of human kind, which calls for a profound reflection on the relationship between man and nature, and a correct understanding of the world's reasonable order, man's position therein and the reasonableness of his behavior. It is of vital importance to construct a new world outlook and methodology where ecological reasonableness is regarded as the core concept, the major value judgment criterion and the key constructing principle. Only in this way can the change from human centeredness to that of the interaction of human society and nature be realized, and a brand-new ecological productive relationship be established. In this case, the continuation of the human race and the sustainable development of the triadic nature-economy-society system can be safeguarded.
