"新学"是中国近代学术文化的一种新的形态,是特定历史时期中西方文化撞击的产物,是在中国传统旧学的基础上形成的中西兼容的新形式,它具有鲜明的时代性和民族性。"新学"在中国近代发展史上占有重要地位,它开启了进步思想之门,同时成为中华民族思想文化的一个有机组成部分。

New Academicism was a new form of academies in modern history of China.It was based on Chinese traditional academy with its obvious national and temporal characteristics,as a production of the strike, as well as fusion,between the Chinese and Western cultures in the period of modern history.It was born from Chinese tradition and represented the characteristics of China in that special epoch.New Academicism took an important place in modern history and led the progressive thought,meanwhile it formed a corresponding part of Chinese thought and culture.
