《孔雀东南飞》中的疑节"媒人去数日……故遣来贵门"一节,历年来众说纷纭,解释不一。诸如,"丞"是县丞还是府丞;刘家是否是"宦官"人家;事情发生在"刘家"还是"县衙"等等。若是在深刻了解民歌特色的基础上,并弄清人物活动地点,字词具体意义,本节结构形式,再正确加上标点符号,以上种种问题便迎刃而解了。

In 'Peacocks Flying Southeastward' there is a section which says:'Away for days the go-between has been,…thus sent me to your noble house',on which opinions vary, explanations differ all through the ages such as 'whether an assistant to an official in ancient China refers to county magistrate's assistant or a prefecture assistant?','Whether is family liu eunuch or someone else?','Did the things happen in family liu or cellnty yamen?'and so on. If we have profoundly understood the characteristics of folk song,gained a clear idea of the scene the characters moving about,the structure and form of the section and giving correct punctuation,the above problems can be readily solved.
