This essay introduces the application status and structure characteristics of ballastless tracks in Japan, Germany andFrance, and some basic status of ballastless track applied in China, makes comparison in terms of maintenance and economybetween ballastless track and ballasted track, and points out that the construction of ballastless track shall be developed in greatefforts on the Chinese passenger dedicated lines.
