Dec.7,2004, Wetlands International granted the China State Forestry Administration of the 'Brilliant Achievement Award of Global Wetland Protection and Rational Utilization' in Beijing to commend the Chinese government for the huge achievements it has made in the protection and rational utilization of wetlands and the example it has provided to countries around the world in this respect. Madame Jane Madgwick, CEO of Wetlands International, awarded the certificate of merit to Zhou Shengxian, the adminis- trator of China State Forestry Administration.
