Publicity Department of China Central Committee appointed Xu Guangchun as secretary of Henan provincial committee of the CPC, 10 days after CPC Economic Work- ing Conference mentioned the strategy of ’landlocked area growth’. Before appointment, Xu was China Central Committee Public- ity Department vise-minister and The State Administration of Radio Film and Television director. Com- mon public opinion considered that this appointment shows the diversity while Central Committee Choosing young officials. The near- est challenge to Xu, is how to make the 40 years experience in media useful in locality administration.
