浅析大学英语教学中词汇的文化教育

On Cultural Education of Voacbulary in the Teaching of University English

大学英语教学中文化教育的重要性是由语言和文化的关系决定。词汇的文化教育是语言教学中的重要组成部分,但是却一直未引起人们的足够重视,并由此产生了不少错误的认识。如何有效地进行词汇教学中的文化教育,可从英汉语言词汇中“文化传统”、“价值观念”、“思维方式”和“生活习惯”四个方面的差异来分析其文化背景和内涵,从而达到提高大学英语教学质量的目的。

The importance of cultural education, in the teaching of university English, is decided by the relationship of the language and the culture. The cultural education of vocabulary is the important section of the teaching of language. However, which is not always led to people's adequate attention so as to produce much wrong understanding. How to carry on the cultural education effectively in the teaching of vocabulary, which can be analyzed its cultural background and intention from the differences of four parts,such as “he tradition of culture', “the idea of value', 'the way of thought' and 'the custom of living', in the vocabulary of English and Chinese language. Hence, we can improve the ability of teaching of university English.
