To some beginners of English the meaning of an adjective is definite, decrptive and simple, equivalent to its Chinese translation in an English Chinese dictionary. However, it is not always the case. In order understand and translate an adjective in a sentence correctly, its logical, passive and neative meaning possibly contained has to be taken into consideration. The present article deals with this subject briefly.
