艾德礼是现代英国著名的政治家,也是一位在英国中下层民众当中拥有相当威望的工党领袖.他的社会主义思想,对战后英国社会主义理论和实践产生了一定的影响.现任英国首相布莱尔曾经说过,艾德礼的社会主义基本上就是他所追求的社会主义.这说明在基本价值观方面,新工党并没有完全割断同旧工党的联系.

Clement Attlee was a famous British politician, and also a respected leader of the Labor Party in middle and lower levels of people. His socialism thought influenced to some extent on the socialism theory and practice in postwar England, and connected closely with the New Labor Party's basic value.
