Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is entering a new era asminimally invasive techniques,off-pump surgery and total 'arterialrevascularization have fotmd roles in the surgical treatment of patients with coronary artery disease.The continued development ofthe techniques of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is also having an impact on the type of patient referred for CABG.
