The Jinsha 金沙 Site was discovered in February 8,2001. Between then and March 2003, a savage archaeological endeavor that involved the field strategies of subsurface probing and extensive excavation had been carried out in coordination with the city's infrastructure development. The project revealed some of the basic features of the site.
