Singapore’s “Survival Policy” refers to the general policies and measures taken after its independence in politics,diplomacy,economy and national safety to keep the nation in survival,solidity,national independence and promote its social and economic development.Singapore’s foreign policy is an important part of its “Survival Policy” and also an important guarantee to carry out the policy.Singapore adopts a foreign policy of peace,neutrality and non\|alliance.Thus its foreign relations are composed of three parts: to improve and develop a friendly tie with its neighbours,to strengthen regional cooperation and to develop good relations with all countries,especially with big and important countries.Singapore’s successful foreign policy and the closely\|related good international environments and foreign relations are vital conditions and guarantee for successful practice of its “Survival Policy”,which ensures its stability,safeguards its national security and promotes its economic development and social progress.
