摘要
中世纪的英国,内外战争频繁。战争的巨大开支使国王的财政支出岌岌可危,迫使国王通过议会向国民征税;同时,战争诱发和激化了各种政治矛盾,统治阶层中各集团为夺取或巩固权力,纷纷寻求议会的支持,这些都带来了议会权力的扩大和发展。
The continuous wars of medieval England had a bigger financial burden on the Kings. The Kings were thus forced to make a concession to Parliament in order to gain the money for wars from their citizens. The wars intensified political contradictions in England . During this period , the influence of Parliament was greatly expanded.
