台湾海峡两岸的民间经贸往来,长期以来一直没有间断过。由于众所周知的原因,,这种往来在过去30年中有很大的局限性。1980年后,随着两岸关系日趋缓和,民间接触逐渐公开化,经贸往来进入了一个全新的阶段,尤其是近两三年,发展速度令人惊讶。据统计,1991年台商在大陆的投资达15亿美元,比上年增加了3亿美元,增幅达25％,比1987年则增长了12.9倍;同年,两岸的转口贸易达58亿美元,比上年增长43％。现在,在福建、广东等沿海地区,台资已经成为主要的引进资金来源。

The author tries to analyses from the following phases; the present trend of policy between Taiwan and the Mainland, the construction of Taiwan foreign investment, the construction of Taiwan foreign trade, the potential of the market in Mainland and the environment of investment in order to explain the inevitability of investment t.ade between Taiwan & the Mainland will greatly develop also on the basis, the writer draws the trend of the investment of Taiwan merchants in Mainland and the trade between both sides as his forecasting.
