An established goal of the central government of the Republic of China was to improve and strengthen relations with the local government of Tibet. Britain tried its best to keep the Chinese central government from exercising effective rule over the region and to separate it from China. After the breakout of the War against Japanese Aggression it became part of the Tibet policy of the Guomindang government to develop organizations among Tibetans residing in India. This paper reviews the organizationally close relations between the Tibetan Revolutionary Party and the Guomindang, and reveals the designs of the British Indian government over the “Incident of the Tibetan Revolutionary Party.” The event was a conflict and confrontation between China and Britain over the ownership of Tibet.
