摘要
云冈石窟位于山西省大同市城西16公里的武州(周)山南麓，武州川北岸。石窟依山开凿，东西绵延1公里，现存大小窟龛252个，石雕造像510000余尊。石窟规模宏大，题材多样，雕刻精美，是公元5世纪后半叶中国佛教雕刻艺术的“陈列馆”，被誉为世界伟大的古代雕刻艺术宝库。
The Yungang Grotto, in the city of Da Tong, SX province, has a very magnificent scale with various themes and delicate engraving.It is regarded as the museum for the art of Chinese Buddhism engraving in the latter part of the 5th century A.D. and even the greatart treasury of the ancient engraving in the world.
