张艺谋现象在20世纪90年代的文化研究中具有独特的意义。而张艺谋电影文本的文化接受与阐释是对其进行揭秘的关键。作者认为,张艺谋电影文本在国际上的成功在于以西方审美和价值观为基础的文化接受和阐释过程中,导演的文化观念、影片的艺术表现与西方观众有某种程度的契合,进入了他们对东方文化的期待视野。作者细致分析了逐渐成为当代西方理论主流的后现代主义、后殖民主义和张艺谋电影文本的复杂关系。作者分别用“熟悉的陌生感”和“陌生化的熟悉”来描绘西方和东方对张艺谋电影文本在接受上的差异,并由此揭示出东西方文化之间存在的隔膜与误读。

Zhangyimou's phenomenon has its own unique significance in the study of culture in1990s and the key to which,the author believes,is the acceptance and ex planation of Zhangyimou's movie-text.It is believed that his success in his m ovie-text ,to some degree,has been attributed to the process of the cultura l acceptance and explanation based on the western aesthetic and value standards and his cultural concept and artistic criteria have reached a tacit agreement having greeted the eye of the westerners who have been expect-ing it.The auth or analyses in detail the complicated relationship between post-modernism and post-colonialism which have gradually become the main stream in the west and Zhangyimou's movie-text.The author,however,also depicts the difference of a ccepting Zhangyimou's movie-text between in the west and in the east and shows us the estrange-ment and misreading between in the east and in the west.
