The "Ying Shi应史"Vessels and Historiographers of Different Clan Names in the Zhou Period

摘要 Based on the analysis of the bronze vessels with inscriptions Yingshi unearthed from Pingdingshan city,Henan Province,this paper believes that all states of the Western Zhou Dynasty had its own historians and those historians might have been the descendants of the Shang people. It is believed that those historians played an important role in the development of ancient Chinese culture.
