Bronze Inscription Caledar and Western Zhou King Reigns

利用西周铜器铭文中的历日资料,拟定金文历谱、推算西周列王的在位年数,这是西周年代学的一个重要课题。但是由于对月相词语的理解不同,其结果也往往各异。"夏商周断代工程"推出的历谱和西周王年与天文学、考古学及测年技术的结果是互洽的,但仍有一些问题需要修正和改进。

To reconstruct the bronze inscription calendar and to reckon the duration of the successive Western Zhou kings' reigns by using the calendrical data in Western Zhou bronze inscriptions is one of the important subjects of Western Zhou chronology. However, as the terms of lunar phases are understood divergently, no unanimous conclusion has been drawn. The calendar and Western Zhou king reigns the 'Xia-Shang-Zhou Chronology Project' put forward are conformable to the results of astronomical and archaeological study and technical-means dating, but some issues still call for amendment and improvement.
