The Chinese contemporary experimental drama movement is a real artistic exploration under a new background of artistic creation. It has helped to develop an experimental trend, the foundation of which is laid down through the work of some drama writers with artistic explorative courage and drama artists with great creative spirit. This paper aims to reflect the creative activities of the Chinese drama writers and artists in the 1980s, when the Chinese contemporary experimental drama began to sprout.
