This paper deals with the characteristics and particular law of science and technology progress of forestry. The progress is a complex and slow process based on the utilization of biological factors. It should be able to utilize the natural forces sufficiently, must be suited to the basic characteristics of forestry production and be favourable to the balance of ecosystem.
