词形变异在英语中大量存在 ,广为使用 ,或强化语势 ,或活泼语言 ,或激发联想 ,或画龙点睛。其构成方式不拘一格 ,既可重复词素、单词和符号 ,也可借助大小写法、错位法、偷换法、删除法、添加法、误用法等手段突破常规 ,构成变异。词形的变异仍以常规为参照 ,仍然是词 ,仍然具有语言这一符号系统赋予文字的全部功能 ,而且是开放的、发展的。
English is rich in deviations of word spelling.For the sake of being emphatic,vivid, associative and conspicuous, they come into wide and frequent use by repetition of morphemes, words & punctuations,capitalization,misplacement,deletion,addition,substitution & malapropism.Against the background of norm,deviations of word spelling still function as words and keep on the move.
