二十世纪的语言人类学试图把语言、社会、心理和文化看成是有机联系的整体。我们由于自己文化的局限对客体世界做出不同的分类,缺乏还原的能力。真实的世界是同一的。各个群体和个人的思维逻辑是相同的,只是他们的社会文化视点不同。

Linguistic anthropology in the 21st century is trying to compromise universalism and relativism, regarding language, society, psychology and culture as organically integrated components of a whole. Due to limitations of our own culture we classify the objective world differently and lack the ability of restoring it. The real world should be universal. The thinking logic of each communitiy and individual is similar while their social cultural views can be different as much as different games. We can, however, become players of different games after successful learning.
