中国译学论

On Translation Studies in China

对于翻译学,近年来,学界论述盛丰。然而任何学科的建立都必需具有三个基本条件:必要性,可行性和特殊性。关于可行性,有关论文专著已涉及很多。本文主要提出建立中国译学的必要性并阐述其特殊性。

Articles on translation studies in China have been published abundantly in recent years. However, the setting up of any new disciplineis dependent on three fundamental conditions—the necessity of the discipline, the feasibility of setting up such a discipline, and the specialtyof the discipline. Much has been said about the condition of feasibility. The present paper focusses on the necessity of establishing translationstudies as an independent academic discipline in China and the special features of such a discipline.
