摘要
美国非常重视外语教学。最新数据表明 :全国 1/ 3小学和 90 %的中学开设外语课。所学语种多达 138种。但为了进一步加强外语教学还采取了一系列措施 :调研别国外语教学成功的经验 ,取长补短 ;出台了教学标准 ;拨专款师资培训 ;注重发挥民间学术团体和计算机网络的作用 ;外语课堂教学也出现了一系列新动态。
This paper probes into the latest trends in foreign language teaching in the United States. The latest data show that there are 1/3 of primary schools and 90% of high schools offering foreign language courses. There are 138 kinds of foreign languages being taught in various kinds of schools and universities. To strengthen the foreign language teaching, some important measures have been adopted.
