Causes of Obstacles in Intercultural Communication

在跨文化交际与合作中常常会产生文化冲突 ,这大多是由于不同文化之间的差异所造成 ,虽然这种差异是程度上的而非本质的 ,但却表现在各个层面 ,包括世界观 ,价值取向 ,文化传统 ,心理因素 ,行为规范 ,社会地位 ,角色关系 ,交际场合等。由于有这些众多变量的存在 ,所以经常会产生交际障碍。惟有明其因 ,方能尽量减少这种交际障碍。

In the intercultural communication and cooperation, cultural conflicts often occur. Although the difference between different cultures is no substantial, it is found at all levels: mode of thinking, value orientation, pragmatic transfer, dominant culture of communicative environment and minor culture of communicative environment. Better understanding those factors that affect the intercultural communication can help to diminish communicative obstacles.
