摘要
"教学翻译"和"翻译教学"是两种不同性质、不同层次的教学类型,前者的目的是巩固和培养学生的外语语言能力;后者则是要培养翻译的专门人才.本文试用海姆斯的"交际能力"理论分析翻译教学中的语言能力的培养与翻译技巧的训练问题,进而论述翻译教学与外语教学之间的关系.
Teaching translation as a device and teaching translation as a subject are considered two different kinds of translation teaching which have different aims as well as different requirements. The former aims at cultivating the students' language competence while the latter, the translation knowledge and skills. This article tries to relate the concept of “communicative competence” put forward by Hymes to the two kinds of translation teaching with the aim of clarifying the relationships between the teaching of translation and that of foreign languages.
