Xiejin's films have got very intensely dramatic nature. The stage and the two female figures in A Couple Of Sisters On the Stage are the most principal image symbol. With its structural model of ″transitional ceremony″, the film represents enlightened and transitional myth which has made the features of Xiejin's works come into being.
