这是中国大陆第一份由女性主办，以女性文化研究为中心话题的学术刊物。它从对男权文化的解构入手，以女性文化的建构为重心，以双性同构人类文化为旨归。它突破了一般锁定的女性文化属性，而向广阔的文化领域推进。

This is the first academic periodical on the Chinese mainland sponsored by women and with female culture studies as the central topic. With the dismantling of male-chauvinist culture as the point of departure and the formulation of female culture as the focus, the magazine takes as its purpose the promotion of human culture by the concerted efforts of both sexes. It breaks through the restrictive attributes of female culture to advance toward a broader cultural realm.
