文章为德国音乐百科全书 (MGG)的条目“音乐社会学” ,原文发表于 1997年。是德国学术界对音乐社会学的定位、研究对象、研究历史和新的研究课题等方面的最新看法之一。作者卡登从全新的角度对音乐与社会的关系进行了独到的分析和论述。其中的第一、第二部分 ,以及第三部分的第 1个问题 ,已分别在《黄钟》1999年第 1、3期发表 ,现刊发其余部分 (限于篇幅 ,未列原文所附参考书目 )

The article is a translation of the entry Musiksoziologie (Musicology) in MGG, which published in 1997. It is one of the newest viewpoints by Germany academia on musical sociology, such as its definition, object, history, and task. The writer Christian Kaden with a fire new point stated and analyzed the relationship between music and society. The first two parts and the first section of third part of the paper published in Huang Zhong, 1999 no.1 and no.3, the present issue publish the rest of part. Since limited space, it is without the reference list attached to the origin article.
