Comparative Poetics: Who Is the Medium?

比较文学中的'比较诗学',涉及到从'词语'、'文化'到历史'语境'和翻译转释等许多方面.有关论争近来不断增多.本文仅就所谓中西之间的'中介者'等提法,阐发作者的观点,以期引起更为深入的研讨.

Comparative Poetics has become a major trend in the field of comparative literature where many scholars in different countries pay attention to the so called transnational dialogue. Some argue that it is impossible for different literary traditions to do so and in order to ensure such study against unfair, suggest that it is necessary for those who would like to compare poetics to make or to create the medium between the subject and the object. However, what does it mean by the medium? Will it help people to deal with the problems among various literary traditions better than before? This paper tries to discuss these questions while focusing on comparative studies of the Chinese literary theory and the western poetics.
