摘要
本论文主要从语用学的角度分析委婉语。到目前为止 ,委婉语主要是从语义的角度定义的 ;由于委婉语在一种语境下是委婉语 ,而在另一种语境下并非如此 ,并且它们随着时间的推移而变化 ,作者从语用学的角度重新定义委婉语。许多研究人员把间接言语行为看作委婉语 ,但作者发现他们不是所属关系而是交叉关系。同时 ,作者提出制约委婉语的两大原则 :适切原则和自我保护原则。
