忠实并不等于保留原语表现形式。文学翻译更要保存原作艺术魅力。译者要尽可能利用最好的译语表达方式，以便更好传达原作内容。这就是我的竞赛论和优势论。

To be faithful to the source text does not mean that the expressions of the source text must be followed slavishly. In literary translation, it is more important to be as beautiful as the original. The translator should make the best use he can of the resources of the target language so as to express the ideas of the original fully and effec-tively.
