摘要
对语言工具论的反思不仅会还“语言”以本来的面目 ,而且还会给外语教学以启示。本文从三个不同的角度说明语言不等同于工具 ,进而指出必须从“教与学”和“全面提高师生人文素养”两个方面加强和改善我国的外语教学。文章还涉及对语言工具论与外语教学的探讨之意义所在。
Reflections on the view of language as a tool to communicate will not only shed light upon the true nature of language, but also have positive implications for language teaching.This paper argues that language cannot be equated with a tool from three angles.It also looks at the significance of this discussion.
